The Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes) is located in the jungle area, in the middle of the mountains, in the riverside of the Urubamba River. It’s a small town with a tropical climate, in the middle of a forest filled with fog. This town is filled with a variety of hotels and restaurants. Aguas Calientes offers a comfortable and cozy place for all types of Macchu Picchu (Inca’s main ruins) tourists, as its only thirty minutes by bus.
Macchu Picchu is an Inca town, build between the Huayna Picchu and the Macchu Picch mountains, during the ninth Inca reign, Pachacutec, between 1438 and 1470. It is said to have been the resting and religious place. Macchu Picchu is located in the central cordillera of Peru, at 2490 amsl. It’s considered a master piece of architecture and engineering, because the town as a whole fits perfectly with nature, without visually invading the mountains, which translates to a landscape magical beaty in 2007, Macchu Picchu was elected as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, and it’s in the list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
